Overview

The Microbiologist will maintain product quality by conducting microbiologic tests on the manufacturing and packaging environments while adhering to cGMP guidelines.

.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Microbiological testing on water systems: bioburden and Bacterial Endotoxin testing
  • Perform Environmental Monitoring by sampling: Non-Viable Particles, Viable Air, Surfaces
  • Participate in aseptic processing in a clean room environment
  • Perform growth promotion
  • Gram stain, morphology, isolation and identification of organisms
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Documentation of results and data entry as per SOPs
  • May handle hazardous and biological waste
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Aseptic technique or cleanroom experience desired
  • Organism identification experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work schedule flexibility, including weekend availability

 

EDUCATION:   Bachelor's Degree – BS/BA In Biology or Microbiology desired; BS/BA in alternate field with equivalent experience and training

 

EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years related experience
